June is bringing sunshine, celebration, and plenty of opportunities for connection at Stonebridge Senior. This month’s calendar includes local outings, Father’s Day festivities, summer kickoff activities, resident clubs, and meaningful moments that reflect the heart of our community.
Residents can look forward to a full month of outings, entertainment, and seasonal fun.
We’re celebrating World Oceans Day with a trip to the aquarium — the closest thing we have to the sea! Residents will enjoy an afternoon surrounded by marine life, colorful exhibits, and ocean-inspired fun.
Residents will head out for a delicious lunch at First Watch, a favorite spot for fresh and flavorful daytime dining.
We’ll enjoy sunshine, snacks, local vendors, and time outdoors at the Arvada Farmers Market.
Kim will join us for a guided gardening activity, sharing helpful tips and leading residents through a fun, hands-on project.
We’re excited to partner with a nearby Floyd’s Barbershop to provide quality haircuts for our dads before Father’s Day.
We’ll spoil our dads with a special Father’s Day celebration, beginning with bagels in the morning and continuing with live entertainment in the afternoon.
Stonebridge is kicking off summer with a full week of themed days, games, food, and seasonal fun.
Residents will enjoy fresh air, good food, and time together with a relaxing picnic in the park.
We’ll close out the month with a trip to the zoo — a wonderful way to enjoy animals, sunshine, and time with friends.
Congratulations to McGyver, our Employee of the Month!
As one of our dedicated caregivers, McGyver is always willing to step in and help wherever he is needed. His calm presence, positive attitude, and genuine care for residents make a difference every day. Residents and staff alike appreciate the kindness and dependability he brings to Stonebridge.
Thank you, McGyver, for all that you do.
This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Frank.
Frank has always loved staying active, especially through playing the drums, basketball, and baseball. One of his proudest professional accomplishments was being a top insurance salesman for four years, which gave him the opportunity to travel the world and take his family on special trips to places like Hawaii and New York.
One of Frank’s favorite places to visit was San Diego, especially near the Air Force base, where he loved watching jets train and perform tricks in the sky.
Most of all, Frank is proud of his son, daughter, and grandchildren. His advice is simple and powerful:
“Kindness wins over everything.”
He also believes it is important to “always look out for one another.”
We’re grateful to have Frank as part of the Stonebridge community.
Stonebridge residents can also enjoy several ongoing clubs and activities throughout the month:
Classical Music Mingle
Every other Tuesday at 9:15 AM in the Bistro
Men’s Coffee Club
Every Wednesday at 9:15 AM in the Bistro
